IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
In order for the HOTROD-A-RAMA to continue at its present location the organizers have been forced to make the following changes to keep the number of vehicles attending from exceeding the capacity of the available space and resources:
- Motorcycles of any type will not be allowed entry
- Any car that the organizers feel is not a traditional hot rod or custom or does not represent the spirit of a traditional hot rod or custom (like stockers and muscle cars) will not be allowed entry
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. |

What is the HOTROD-A-RAMA?
The Fifth Annual HOTROD-A-RAMA brought together over 500 of the Northwest's finest traditional hotrods and customs including nine vintage top fuel dragsters and six restored midget racers. This event is truly a celebration of the hotrod heritage here in the Pacific Northwest. We invite you to join us in 2007. You won't be disappointed. Check out our photo page for just a small sampling of what was in attendance at the Fifth Annual HOTROD-A-RAMA as well as previous years. This show brings together cool cars, great people, awesome music, and food and vendors for a complete hotrod experience. Plan to attend the Sixth Annual HOTROD-A-RAMA on August 3-4, 2007!

When will the show occur for the hotrod faithful?
The Sixth Annual HOTROD-A-RAMA will be held on the weekend of August 3-4th, 2007.
Where will this big ol' jalopy shindig be held and how much parking will there be?
The HOTROD-A-RAMA is held in and around The Swiss Tavern. It is located at 1904 South Jefferson Ave in beautiful downtown Tacoma, Washington "The City of Destiny". We will be adding additional parking this year for up to 500 cars. Don't let the fact that it's held at a tavern fool you. If you've been here before you know this is a great location for an event like this. We got room! Check back for more details about the Sixth Annual HOTROD-A-RAMA as they develop.
What's in store for music?
Well I'm glad you asked my friend! For the Sixth Annual HOTROD-A-RAMA we've booked The Glam-O-Rama Burlesque Show, Hard Luck Three and The Stood Ups to start the musical portion of the evening off on Friday at 8:00 pm, with The Saddle Tramps to finish the night off right. Saturday features the Scuzztones, The Juke Joint Gamblers, Marshall Scott Warner, Cold Hearted Trio, Mars Needs Women, The Verbtones, the All American Playboys and Shawn Hawkins & The Offenders on the outside stage (starting at 11:00 am), with Johnny Mercury going on stage at 7:00 pm inside the Swiss for the evening show.
What is this gig gonna cost me?
Admission for those show participants who register before July 1st, 2007 will be $20.00 per car. The admission fee after July 1st will be $30.00. This price does not include admission to the Swiss Friday and Saturday nights to see the headlining acts. You can register to participate with your car all the way up 'till 3:30 p.m. on Saturday or until we run out of room. Registration the day of the show will be 30 bucks as well. There is no charge for the public to view the show. Ample public parking is available around the event area.

PLEASE NOTE: The printable pre regestration form is the only way you can pre register for this event. All registrations received after July 29th will be available will-call at the event. All individuals wishing to register after the July 29th date are encouraged to do so at the event. This avoids your registration confirmation arriving at your house while you're on the way to the event--and unless we see your confirmation you'll have to register again anyway.
And now, a few words about safety...
In order to continue to have the cooperation and support of the folks behind the scenes that make it possible to stage an event like HOTROD-A-RAMA we have to have some rules. Click here for the complete list. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
PLEASE NOTE: The HOTROD-A-RAMA boasts an ever-increasing contingent of restored and unrestored vintage drag cars, Bonneville racers and sprint cars. We encourage you to bring them to the show at no event participant cost. If you have one of these cars please contact the Event Promoter to inquire if your car qualifies for static display.
What cars are invited to the HOTROD-A-RAMA?
This event has been established to honor traditional hotrods & early custom cars (if I've got to spell it out to you, you probably wouldnęt understand it anyway!).
This a pre-1965 event.
This is a pre-1965 traditional hotrods and customs only event. Event Promoters reserve the right to grant or deny any exceptions to this policy. Below is a list of some of the things we like and dislike.
